1953

Company is established as McCann Bros. by Bill and Lawrence McCann with the primary focus being on construction which included concrete forming.

1966

Concrete supply is added to company portfolio with the opening of the Mt.Carmel redi-mix plant.

1970

Construction of McCann dam is completed on family owned property.

1972

Name is changed from McCann Bros to McCann Construction

1974

Aggregate trucking services are established.

1976

Excavation services are provided for the first time.

1980

Name is changed from McCann Construction to McCann Redi-Mix. 2nd generation obtains ownership of company.

1982

2nd redi-mix plant is opened in Exeter, On.

1984

Gravel and sand pits are purchased by the company for the first time. Custom crushing and screening operations are introduced soon after.

1991

Mt.Carmel plant is renovated to increase capacity and service.

1995

First dragline is purchased and primarily operated in McCann Redi-Mix managed pits.

1996

Construction begins on one of the largest barns in Canada.

2001

First Schwing pump is ordered by the company. Machine is delivered with the wrong yellow paint job.

2003

A third redi-mix plant is established in Mitchell, Ontario.

2006

Company earns continued growth with help from many long term skilled employees.

2007/2012

Appartments are built in Exeter (2007) and Grand Bend (2012). Both are owned and operated by McCann Redi-Mix.

2016

Company logo is redesigned to reflect company diversity. Ownership consists of both 2nd and 3rd generations.

2021

Redi-Mix plant opened in Watford. This new location allows us to provide redi-mix to a wider service area.

2021

McCann RediMix acquired Merner Contracting Ltd based out of Clinton. Merner Contracting is a family operated company and have earned the respect of their servicing area through their workmanship, versatility and reliability.
